Lou brings a dynamic blend of leadership, technological expertise, and a passion for community engagement to his role as Executive Manager at HVERI. His background in nonprofit management, youth development, and media production provides a solid foundation to help lead HVERI's varied initiatives.

Earlier in his career, Lou pioneered and coached Strength and Conditioning programs for youth, served as an Athletic Director for a K-8 charter school, and as the Executive Director of a nonprofit sports operation. He was honored in his field as the Best Strength Trainer in Arizona four times, noted for his leadership skills in team building and program development, beyond training and coaching.

In 2020, Lou co-founded Two Pineapples Media, a YouTube channel that has significantly impacted volcanic education through live-streaming and coverage of volcanic activity, accumulating millions of views. This venture showcases his ability to integrate technology with educational content, making complex information accessible and engaging.

Lou officially joined HVERI in 2024, bringing his unique skills, experience, innovation, and personality to the growing team. Welcome Lou!
