1. Visit Our Facebook Fundraiser Page
Head to Facebook’s Fundraiser Page to begin setting up your fundraiser. Click the "select nonprofit" button and copy and paste Hawaiian Volcano Education and Resilience Institute.

2. Set a Goal
Choose a personal fundraising goal (e.g., $500) to help contribute towards HVERI’s $5,000 campaign target.
3. Create a Title
Personalize your fundraiser title. For example:
“Join Me in Supporting Disaster Preparedness in Hawai’i!”
4. Tell Your Story
Share why you’re passionate about the Hawaiian Volcano Education and Resilience Institute (HVERI). Explain how HVERI has helped you understand disaster preparedness and build resilience through educational resources or community programs.
Even if you’re not in Hawai’i, your support ensures more communities can access life-saving information and tools to prepare for emergencies. Every donation helps us reach those most at risk, contributing to a stronger, safer Hawai’i for everyone.
5. Invite Your Friends
After setting up your fundraiser, open the invite dialog to invite your friends. Facebook allows you to invite all your friends without limits. Simply click the "Invite" button next to each friend’s name to include them in your fundraiser.
6. Click “Create”
Once you’ve filled out all the details, click Create to launch your fundraiser. You’re now ready to start raising funds for HVERI!
